Calgary Artist in Residence Program

We are excited to accept applications for our Calgary Artist in Residence Program. This program will consist of two short term residencies worth $2500 for Calgary-based Disabled musicians to help develop their creative practices and careers.

This initiative will create professional development pathways for Disabled musicians by providing the opportunity, time, support, and budget needed to develop an artistic project.

The Artists in Residence will develop and deliver music projects, in collaboration with the CAMIN team. Additionally, this role consists of researching and developing ways to engage with audiences and/or participants as part of the creative projects. Individuals will also get a chance to produce marketing and fundraising materials, work to manage the project effectively, and plan the final performance/exhibition of their work.

These artists will have access to the CAMIN team across Canada, including Blurring the Boundaries, a Montreal-based organization
that specializes in disability-led instrument development (https://blurringtheboundaries.org/
